It's amazing what a couple of simple tweaks can do. In his video for rapper/producer Big K.R.I.T.'s single "I Got This," director Todd A builds on the swollen '70s-soul undercurrents in K.R.I.T.'s music by taking standard rap-video shots -- K.R.I.T. driving around his hometown and reveling among his supporters -- and shooting them like a blaxploitation opening-credits montage, complete with fake film-crackles. It's a fun gimmick, and the video also captures K.R.I.T.'s irrepressible bouncy energy. If videos still made stars, I'd call this a starmaking video. Watch the video and download the song below.
