Four days ago, Handsome Furs announced their breakup. But Dan Boeckner, the Wolf Parade co-leader who made up half of that duo, didn't take too long to get a new project going. Boeckner is now one of the three members of a new L.A.-based indie supergroup called Divine Fits. The debonair Spoon frontman Britt Daniel is also a part of it, as is Sam Brown, drummer for the Ohio trash-punk greats New Bomb Turks. The new band plans to release a debut album later this year on Merge, and they're working with producer Nick Launay. Right now, there's no music; all they've got is a website and a Twitter. But let's be honest: Daniel and Boeckner don't write bad songs, ever. Given the past work of everybody involved, this thing is going to fucking rule.
