Vampire Weekend

|Greg Cristman

On Saturday 11/17, some of indie rock's most prominent names got together to stage a benefit for victims of Hurricane Sandy. Real Estate, Vampire Weekend, Devendra Banhart, the Walkmen's Hamilton Leithauser, Walter Martin, and Peter Bauer, Cass McCombs, and Dirty Projectors' David Longstreth, Amber Coffman, and Haley Dekle performed on Saturday afternoon at St. Ann & The Holy Trinity, a picturesque Episcopal church in Brooklyn Heights. The event was organized by Occupy Sandy, and proceeds from the show (entrants were asked for a donation of $30 or more) will go to build the infrastructure to sustain recovery efforts across NYC. Check out our shots from the show in the gallery.
