The melodically-inclined Tampa punk trio Merchandise had a big year last year, largely on the strength of their murky, glowering Children Of Desire album. We won't have to wait long for the follow-up; a new album called Totale Night is already set for a spring release. And the first song we've heard from it is an expansive seven-minute zone-out called "Anxiety's Door," which has more Echo & The Bunnymen than Joy Division in its DNA. Listen below.
