This video from Julianna Barwick's Nepenthe release show at Judson Church is the most exquisitely gorgeous sound I've encountered in a long time. Barwick conjures "Crystal Lake" as an extended celestial sigh with an assist from guest musicians Scott Bell and Rose Nelis and guest vocalists Sharon Van Etten and Taraka and Nimai Larson from Prince Rama. It's proof positive that some musicians deserve a reverent setting and an attentive audience.
