Opeth – “Sorceress”

Stuart Wood

Next month, the long-running, cultishly beloved Swedish prog-metal band Opeth will follow up 2014's Pale Communion with a new album called Sorceress. Like many of the band's more recent records, the title track and first single of "Sorceress" leans more heavily toward the prog side of the equation than the metal side, kicking off with a couple of minutes of tricky organ-noodling before kicking into a riff. But as expansive as it might get, this band still brings the heaviness, and they still drop the hammer when they need to. Below, check out the "Sorceress" lyric video, via Rolling Stone.

Sorceress is out 9/30 on Moderbolaget/Nuclear Blast.
