Permit – “Track #1”

Permit is the latest export of Bloomington, the Indiana college town responsible for what feels like thousands of punk bands. On Vol. 1, the duo effortlessly shreds through jittery, unnamed songs, possibly unearthed from a cassette tape found in the glovebox of your uncle's Firebird. "Track #1," Permit’s, uh, first single, is a good example of that kind of effortlessness, a hybrid between reckless and confident that seemed more popular back in the day. When we hear "I'm having trouble moving on," it doesn't sound like a problem. Check it out below.
