Vagabon – “The Embers” Video

Our most recent Band To Watch profile was on Laetitia Tamko, the Brooklyn-based musician who records as Vagabon. Tamko's debut album, Infinite Worlds, is due out next year by way of Father/Daughter, and we heard its first single "Fear & Force" a few weeks back. Today, Tamko premiered a video for her new single "The Embers," a song that was originally included on her Persian Garden EP as "Sharks." Tamko re-recorded the track and amped up its production, and the result is pretty spectacular. In the video, Tamko dances on her own in the back of a bus and in an aquarium as she sings the simple and gutting lyrics: "I'm just a small fish/ And you're a shark that hates everything/ You're a shark that eats every fish." It was directed by Mooj Zadie and shot on 16mm film -- watch below.
