Glenn Danzig’s Thrown Out Refrigerator Listed On Craigslist After Ariel Pink Fridge Auction Ends With No Bids

Earlier this month, someone tried to sell a refrigerator that was supposedly once owned by Ariel Pink. That auction ended with zero bids. Nobody wanted Ariel Pink's fridge! Apparently, Pink should've been born into a different generation of problematic rock frontmen. The same fate did not befall Glenn Danzig's fridge.

As the great rock writer Dan Ozzi points out on BlueSky, someone supposedly found Glenn Danzig's thrown-out refrigerator on the street outside Danzig's famous home in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles. Ozzi once published a zine of people posing for photos outside Danzig's home, which has been abandoned for some time. (According to SF Gate, Danzig tried to sell the run-down house for $1.2 million in 2017, but nobody bought it, like it was Ariel Pink's fridge.) But I guess someone went in there and dragged Danzig's fridge out, leaving it on the sidewalk for whoever.

On Craigslist, someone posted a listing for Danzig's fridge, which was covered in stickers, including ones for Danzig's bands Danzig and the Misfits. (No Samhain stickers, though.) There are also multiple stickers for the ‘90s streetwear brand Pornstar as well as stickers for a few other bands. I have put band stickers on many things in my life, but I have never put them on a fridge. The fridge is for magnets! The Craigslist description of Danzig's fridge is extremely funny:

On the curb, in front of Glen Danzig's abandoned house is the refrigerator that was inside.

It is covered with heavy metal and punk stickers.

It's disgusting inside I opened it.

Some collector would love this.

It's funny but it is not a joke.

Just go get this thing and throw it in your van or whatever.

Get it before the city truck gets it!

To be fair, Danzig's fridge is different from Ariel Pink's fridge because (1) it's funnier, (2) Danzig made better music than Ariel Pink, and (3) nobody was trying to sell it. Apparently, it wasn't out there for long. Dan Ozzi says, "fucking RACED over there but alas as of 10:40 am PST it was gone."

Maybe one of our Anaheim readers can ask Glenn about it on New Year’s Eve:
