Since their conception, VIAL have been politically outspoken, using punk music to advocate for what they believe in. Today, the Minneapolis-based band is announcing their new album Hellhound, but they're also calling attention to the horrific killing committed by ICE in their hometown yesterday.
In a statement, VIAL wrote:
Today was supposed to be the day we were supposed to tell you about our new record HELLHOUND, but our minds are now 100% on our neighbor who was shot and killed by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis yesterday.
This was NOT self-defense. This was MURDER. FUCK ICE!

Renee Nicole Good was 37. Proceeds from the Go Fund Me will cover funeral costs as well as living costs for her wife and son. What appears to be her Instagram account says she was a poet, writer, and guitar player. Stereogum seconds VIAL's statement.
