Cate Le Bon – “Always The Same” (Feat. St. Vincent)

There's a new Cate Le Bon song with St. Vincent. Le Bon, the Welsh art-pop wonder, released her latest opus Michelango Dying in September. "Always The Same," her new collaboration with Annie Clark, was crafted during the sessions for the album, and its surreal, woozy synth environment is of a piece. The main difference is that here Le Bon is joined by Clark, who has operated in a less avant-garde mode for the past decade-ish but still strikes me as a kindred spirit.

A note from Le Bon:

"Always The Same" needed a little more elbow room than the album would allow but it is cousin to the song cycle of Michelangelo Dying, coming into formation in the same breath. Special to me because it features dear friend and mighty artist St. Vincent who occupies the space around me with composure and gravitas whilst I kick around in the dirty waters of love.
