Nobody does it like Angel Du$t do it. Trapped Under Ice frontman Justice Tripp's adventurous, ever-evolving hardcore rock 'n' roll combo will release the new album Cold 2 The Touch next month. The album has already yielded a bunch of advance singles — "The Beat," "The Knife," "Cold 2 The Touch," "DU$T" — and all of them have absolutely kicked ass. Today, we can add one more to that total.
The newest Angel Du$t single is called "I'm The Outside," and I'm really into it. The song starts out as a muscular sha-la-la power-pop ripper, and then it suddenly explodes into a hellacious hardcore breakdown that still somehow keeps those power-pop hooks intact. This song displays absurd levels of energy and swagger and craft, and it's going to sound so good live. You'll soon get to see that happen for yourself, as Angel Du$t are about to head out on a huge North American tour where they'll share stages with bands like Big Boy, Home Front, Midrift, and Negative Approach. After that, they'll hit Australia with Superheaven.
On Cold 2 The Touch, we're looking at a new Angel Du$t lineup that now includes Nick Lewis and Jim Carroll from American Nightmare, the Suicide File, and the Hope Conspiracy. The Tyler Bradberry-directed "I'm The Outside" video takes advantage of the fact that Justice Tripp and his bandmates all look extremely cool. Experience it for yourself below.
Cold 2 The Touch is out 02/13 on Run For Cover.
