As anyone who's ever seen Friday Night Lights can tell you, the state of Texas has a long, proud history in the field of soaring, emotional post-rock. Houston's Trembler employ vocals, so they aren't exploding in any skies. Instead, they offer a fresh take on the way that twinkly guitars can intertwine with one another.
Trembler released their full-length debut Folding in 2022, and they'll soon follow it with a new EP called Total Sorry. Lead single "Wilt" is a slow-motion shimmer that also sounds a bit like a campfire singalong. It's got a unique sense of atmosphere working for it, and you can hear it below.
