just lil – “Come Tru”

Today South London artist just lil shared an entrancing club gem "Come Tru." In her words it's "a whirlwind romance anthem." I couldn't have put it better myself. The track was produced by Ludwig A.F. and previews her forthcoming EP distant shade that's out in February.

Affectionate phrases like "Must be a dream come true" and "You're just my type" swim over sentimental keyboard strokes and a rubbery beat. "I got you," she repeats over and over, the words rippling over each other like bubbles racing to the surface. Then there's this incredible theremin solo? Yeah, we need more of those! It sort of reminds me of sounds Tyler, The Creator played around with on Flower Boy, specifically in "Who Dat Boy" and "Pothole."

Anyway, "Come Tru" is gorgeous pelagic balm. It feels briefly magical. Listen below.
