Clutter – “C.L.U.T.T.E.R.”

Henrik Luhr

Spelling in song lyrics is a treacherous proposition — just ask Taylor Swift — but Clutter pulled it off. "C.L.U.T.T.E.R.," the A-side from the noisy, poppy Stockholm indie band's new 7", turns those letters into a hook, making it somewhat of a theme song. The group elaborates:

"C.L.U.T.T.E.R." is a portrait of a feeling and a band. The song is about a lack of care hard to reach, where the night stays young forever and everything feels fine as long as you have each other. "C.L.U.T.T.E.R." is a celebration of something unperfect. It's a hard-hitting rock song about being a band and a night of partying.

B-side "Superstar," which dropped a couple months ago, is a more abrasive but holds onto that unkempt joie de vivre. You can hear both songs below.
