Underground rap can be a solitary, monk-like pursuit, but for a lot of its participants, it's about seeing how many different ways you can mix and match into various configurations. Case in point: After working together in various pairs for years, serial collaborators Larry June, Curren$y, and the Alchemist are dropping a full-length project as a trio one week from today.
We don't know much about Spiral Staircases yet, but I sure hope it's a Preston School Of Industry tribute album. In the meantime, we've got a flashy video for lead single "Everything Allocated," a bit of eerily propulsive boom-bap with a subtly nasty bassline. Alc's production gives the two emcees plenty of chances to flex, and flex they do. Watch
