Raye is coming out with her new album This Music May Contain Hope next month. She's already taken over the charts with the single "Where Is My Husband!" and, today she's shared the latest preview with "Nightingale Lane."
"This is a song about the greatest heartbreak I've ever known," Raye states at the beginning. Drum kicks trail behind her as she takes us on a romantic epic. The song blossoms and booms as Raye sings about love's memory haunting her, clinging to her until it isn't: "When I drive/ Down this road/ I'm reminded though/ I've let him go now." There's another great line that goes: "Somebody loved me once (Loved me once)/ And someday somebody will again/ Like the way you loved me." It's maybe not the most original but lands a blow.
