We're spoiled. The mysterious sample wizard known as DJ Sabrina The Teenage DJ releases so much warm, nostalgia-drenched music that you can just immerse yourself in her sound and lose all touch with reality. That's a fun thing to do. I recommend it. In December, DJ Sabrina released her fantastical album Fantasy, which is 40 tracks and four hours long. There's no way that you've processed the whole thing yet, but that's fine, since her music isn't really meant to be processed. You just put it on and let it carry you away. Today, she's got another new track that can do the same thing.
DJ Sabrina's new single "HeartsDesires" is a gorgeous eight-minute house journey, and it's currently doing a whole lot to elevate my mood. In her Bandcamp email, DJ Sabrina says that the track "was finished in January but took forever to release as I wanted to get the DJ thing going and share it there a bit first!" She would like you to know that she's also selling "HeartsDesires"-themed merch on Bandcamp. Check out the track below.
