Last September, Luxembourg's Francis Of Delirium returned with the new single "Little Black Dress." Turns out that'll be included on the band's upcoming album Run, Run Pure Beauty, which they're announcing today with another single called "It's A Beautiful Life."
Francis Of Delirium bandleader Jana Bahrich began writing the first seeds of Run, Run Pure Beauty during a stay in New York in summer 2024 while the city was unbearably hot. It took her getting back home to Luxembourg to really flesh those tracks out with her co-producer Chris Hewett, but there's a strong sense of that heat wave anxiety permeating "It's A Beautiful Life": "So damn close/ To pushing daisies/ Man I think this heat makes me/ All alone," Bahrich sings over a scrappy college-rock chug. "I’m burned out/ And I’m tired/ You freaking out?/ 'Cause I’m freaking out."
Bahrich co-directed the "It's A Beautiful Life" video with Kiyan Agadjani, which you can see below along with the full Run, Run Pure Beauty tracklist.
