CFCF Announces New Album L.U.V.: Hear “Let’s Kill Ourselves” (Feat. Touching Ice & TECHG1RLS)

Mike Silver, the Montreal-born producer better known as CFCF, is following up his cult-favorite 2021 LP Memoryland with his new album L.U.V. this June. Along with today's announcement, Silver is sharing the record's amped-up lead single "Let's Kill Ourselves," a tongue-in-cheek brain-rattler featuring Touching Ice and TECHG1RLS.

While Memoryland saw Silver excavate some of his earliest childhood musical favorites for inspiration, L.U.V. promises to be a bit more grown up. "The overall vibe of L.U.V. is meant to be sort of eurodance with a sophisticated edge," Silver explains in a press release. "It’s music for an adult lifestyle."

"Let's Kill Ourselves" is still plenty nostalgic — it riffs off the 2004 song of the same name by garage rockers the Ponys — though it also slots right in nicely with today's sort of party-starting electroclash revival. It's not as sad as the title sounds, promise! Watch Aaron Garcia Peretz's video for it below.

L.U.V. is out 6/12 via BGM Solutions.
