Jump Source, the Montreal electronic duo of producers Patrick Holland and Francis Latreille, recently announced their debut album Fold. Arriving next month, the LP features quite a few familiar names in its stacked list of guests: Two of those are billy woods and the cult favorite Japanese art-pop artist POiSON GiRL FRiEND, who respectively feature on today's pair of new singles "Empty Bars" and "Close."
billy woods' laid-back flow isn't exactly the type of voice you'd expect to hear over a more rigid, twinkly dance beat, but it works remarkably well on "Empty Bars." The airy, psychedelic pop of "Close," meanwhile, nods a bit to POiSON GiRL FRiEND's '90s downtempo roots. Check out both songs below.
