Katy Perry spent this past weekend traipsing around Coachella and spending time with two Canadian Justins: Her boyfriend and former prime minister Trudeau, and Saturday night headliner Bieber. For a portion of Bieber's set, he pulled out a laptop and started pulling up his old music videos on YouTube: "Thank God he has Premium, I don't wanna see no ads," Perry remarked in a clip that's since gone somewhat viral.
When Complex posted about the moment on Threads yesterday, Ruby Rose — the Australian actor and model who rose to prominence in the US after appearing in Orange Is The New Black — responded: "Katy Perry [sexually] addaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a shit what she thinks."
After fans started responding, Rose elaborated: "She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend's lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her."
Rose added that she hesitated to speak publicly about the incident because Perry later helped her acquire a green card, and because she found it daunting to speak about woman-on-woman violence. "I was only in my early 20s," Rose wrote. "I'm now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly. Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows have much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me."
A representative for Perry issued a statement to Variety denying the allegations: "The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies. Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named."
