Swapmeet impressed us earlier this year with "I Know!," their first single for their new label home Winspear. Today the Aussie indie rockers have announced a whole debut album, Mount Zero, arriving in July, and we're also getting another preview with the track "Sand."
"Sand," on which guitarist Venus O’Broin and guitarist/drummer Jack Medlyn share lead vocal duties, forges a sense of tension by oscillating between moments of breezy slacker-rock bliss and some pleasantly noisy outbursts. Medlyn says of the track: "'Sand' is about wasting your own time, then being so, so mad at yourself. And a little bit mad at the people who make apps and phones so addictive."
