There's a decent single that the 2007 ringtone-rap anthem "Yahhh!" is the greatest contribution that Soulja Boy ever made to society. Over a maddening one-finger keyboard riff, Soulja and his associate Arab bellowed gibberish at fans who approached them. It was fantastically bratty, and it would get stuck in my head for weeks on end. Nineteen years later, Latto and GloRilla have sampled 'Yahhh!" on a ridiculous new single of their own.
Atlanta star Latto recently announced her upcoming album Big Mama, revealing her pregnancy when she dropped the cover art. On her new song "GOMF," she enlists past collaborator GloRilla for an extremely fun song about barking on anyone who won't get out your face. Latto and GloRilla are credited producers alongside Pooh Beatz, SupaKaine, Go Grizzly, and Coupe, but the beat is mostly just an enhanced version of Soulja Boy's "Yahhh!" Latto co-directed the cartoonish video with Hidji, and it opens with a Soulja Boy cameo. Watch it below.
Big Mama is out 5/29 on Streamcut/RCA.
