Olivia Rodrigo Debuts New Song With Weyes Blood At Secret LA Show

Jes Sheldon

Before his Coachella headlining set, Justin Bieber held intimate, invite-only shows in LA and no phones were allowed. Last night, Olivia Rodrigo did something similar at LA's The Echo and brought out Natalie Mering aka Weyes Blood to debut what appears to be the next single from you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.

Fans in attendance reportedly described the song as a "heartbreaking ballad" where she's "yearning and begging someone to stay." Rodrigo recently said the next single is "karaokable if you're sad."

The pop star released the lead single "drop dead" last week, which topped our list of the best songs of the week. She also made a surprise appearance at Coachella to perform it with Addison Rae and released alternative versions of the song as iTunes downloads, including an acoustic version.

Meanwhile Weyes Blood has teased new music of her own. Last year the Marty Supreme credits revealed she’d signed with Dirty Hit, and this week she shared some photos from the studio. That movie’s press tour saw Timothée Chalamet recommending Weyes Blood to Gwyneth Paltrow and mispronounced her name.
