It's the country equivalent of the first time that Jay-Z and Nas performed "Black Republican" together. For a solid decade, Texan country greats Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert were at odds with one another. Musgraves co-wrote the absolute banger "Mama's Broken Heart," and she wanted to keep it for herself. Instead, Lambert recorded that song and had a hit with it in 2013. That doesn't sound like start of a bitter blood feud, but those two evidently did not like one another. Their personal issues only just ended, when the two of them came together to write and record the duet "Horses And Divorces," from Musgraves' triumphant new album Middle Of Nowhere.
Kacey Musgraves just announced a big arena tour. Before the kickoff, though, she played a three-night stand at Gruen Hall, a historically significant 800-cap venue outside Austin. Those were the shows that she played with the teenage mariachi trio who were detained by ICE. The last one of those shows was on Tuesday night, and Musgraves brought out Miranda Lambert to sing "Horses And Divorces" with her.
In video from last night's show, Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert sure don't look like two people who ever had problems with one another. Instead, the two of them give off the same absolutely charming vibe as the song itself. The Austin Chronicle reports that Musgraves introduced the song by telling the crowd, "We’re both dumb bitches, honestly." Watch some fan video below.

In other news, Kacey Musgraves just released two Middle Of Nowhere bonus tracks, "Caballero" and "All My Exes (Kacey's Version)." The latter, as you have probably already guessed, is Musgraves' rewritten version of the George Strait classic. Those two songs aren't on streaming services right now, though I'm guessing they'll be on there eventually. For the moment, you can only get them by buying the digital album at Musgraves' website or iTunes.
Middle Of Nowhere is out now on Lost Highway.
