Right now, a number of the stars of Love On The Spectrum, Netflix's reality show about adults with autism looking for love, are breaking into the music business. Abbey Romeo got there first. Romeo has appeared on all four seasons of Love On The Spectrum. Last year, she released a single called "Boyfriend Forever" and sang it on The Kelly Clarkson Show. And on Thursday night, she performed for thousands at the Hollywood Bowl, with a band of current and former talk show hosts backing her up.
Last year, the Night Of Too Many Stars, a celeb-heavy fundraiser for autism that used to air on HBO, returned as part of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival. Jon Stewart hosted the evening, and it featured appearances from luminaries like Adam Sandler, John Mulaney, Johnny Knoxville, Bill Burr, CM Punk, Ali Wong, and Tiffany Haddish. According to the Daily Beast, Noah Wylie wore scrubs and gave people medical exams live onstage. And Abbey Romeo covered the White Stripes with Jon Stewart, Jimmy Kimmel, and Conan O'Brien backing her up.
In video from last night's big occasion, you can see a beaming Romeo singing both "Seven Nation Army" and "We're Gonna Be Friends" while Conan O'Brien plays guitar, Jon Stewart plays drums, and Jimmy Kimmel plays clarinet. It's nice! Check it out below.
