Following the passing of power-pop maestro Adam Schlesinger (also of Fountains Of Wayne) in 2020, his Ivy bandmates members Andy Chase and Dominique Durand collected some of their final recordings with him for Traces Of You. It was released last fall and served as the indie-pop band's first album in 14 years. Ivy also announced a handful of shows and last night they played the first of those at Park West in Chicago.
According to setlist.fm, they opened with "Keep Moving" and "Thinking About You" from 2005's In The Clear, songs they hadn't performed in fifteen years. Following oldies and cuts from the new LP, they closed their set with a cover of the Go-Betweens' "Streets Of Your Town," which they also hadn't done since September 2011 in NYC.
