Wild Pink seem ready to follow up 2024's phenomenal Dulling The Horns. As noted on r/indieheads today, the rootsy, dreamy rock band mailed postcards to fans with a QR code for pre-ordering a new album called Still Coming Down.
"Quantities are limited & first dibs are yours," the card reads next to a QR code. The other side of the postcard has a black and white photo of Wild Pink's John Ross onstage along with the message "I DON'T KNOW WHAT MY IDEA OF FUN IS ANYMORE" in all caps. According to people in the Reddit thread who scanned the code, the album is billed as a continuation of the harder-rocking Dulling The Horns sound, it was recorded at Drop Of Sun in Asheville, it features noted Asheville native and Wild Pink tourmate MJ Lenderman, and it's shipping on or around August 21.
That's all pretty exciting, yeah? Presumably some advance music from Still Coming Down will be comin' 'round the mountain here pretty soon.
