Thirteen years ago, a Houston punk band called Live Without posted up in a certain diner chain to ask one question that still pops into my head more often that I care to admit: "What the fuck is up, Denny's?!" Now, in celebration of that anniversary — should Stereogum be posting anniversary essays when albums turn 13? — Denny's has partnered up with Live Without for a new, limited-time delicacy they're calling the Mozz Pit Burger.
The Mozz Pit Burger isn't just any burger. It's a burger with mozzarella sticks smashed into it and drizzled with marinara. It's available through June 2 in select Denny's restaurants in Houston, Los Angeles, and Miami. To accompany the big drop, Live Without reunited with Denny's for a mosh-heavy promo clip.
