Westside Cowboy Announce Debut Album It Goes On: Hear “Kick Stones (The Boys)”

We named Westside Cowboy one of the Best New Artists Of 2025, not long after the Manchester seven-piece released their debut EP This Better Be Something Great and just before they released their second EP So Much Country 'Till We Get There. Their hot streak continues with today's announcement of Westside Cowboy's debut album It Goes On, which they're teasing with the lead single "Kick Stones (The Boys)."

Westside Cowboy say It Goes On is an album for their younger selves inspired by the songs that made them want to make music in the first place, namely a live recording of the Velvet Underground’s "What Goes On." "Kick Stones (The Boys)" sounds a touch more refined, in the way that it would likely sound just as good in a 300-cap basement as it would played live in a stadium. And speaking of stadiums, its music video was made in collaboration with their hometown team, FC United. The band explain in a statement:

The video is an homage of sorts to FC United of Manchester, and the community that surrounds it. For those unaware, the club was formed by disenfranchised Manchester Utd fans following the club’s controversial take over by Malcom Glazer. In turn, FC UTD is entirely fan owned and has strong ties to numerous socialist and humanitarian causes. The tickets are affordable, they have bands and comics performing at every home game, and they have the largest number of chants in the whole UK football pyramid to name but a few great things about them. We love everything that this club is and represents and it was an honour to work with them on this video.

Check that out along with the full It Goes On tracklist below.
