Veeze Releases New Surprise Mixtape Y’all Won

The twitchy, idiosyncratic Detroit rap weirdo Veeze became a cult hero on the strength of his debut album Ganger, which Stereogum correspondent Peter A. Berry picked as 2023's best rap album. Since then, Veeze has released a steady string of one-off singles like "Signed A Napkin," "L.O.A.T.," and the Lil Yachty collab "Can't Be Crete Boy." But that's not enough for some people, so Veeze had to go ahead and drop a surprise mixtape today.

Veeze's new mixtape Y'all Won is his first album-length work since Ganger, but he wants to make it clear that it's not the follow-up to Ganger. Veeze is still working on Worst Tape, which is what he's calling his sophomore album. But since fans won't stop bugging him to release new music, he's shared Y'all Won, an 11-song mixtape with no guests.

The rushed, unfinished quality of Veeze's music is what a lot of people like about it, so I don't think anyone will be mad at how off-the-cuff and casual he sounds on Y'all Won. In addition to the tape, he's got a video for the mixtape track "Wrong Place, Wrong Time," with cameos from his friends Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, Rylo Rodriguez, Lil Yachty, and Chuckyy. Check out the mixtape and video below.

Y'all Won is out now on Navy Wavy/Warner.
