Prince Celebration Week is currently going down in Minneapolis, and the Prince Estate has announced a new posthumous Prince album called Timeless. The LP contains 10 rare and previously unreleased recordings from Prince's legendary Vault, and it spans from 1977 to his death in 2016.
Today's announcement comes with a new single titled "Stone," which is a previously unreleased recording from spring 1995 written by Sandra St. Victor, Tom Hammer, and Jules Van Even. Along with streaming platforms, the album will be available in multiple physical configurations: a D2C-exclusive limited-edition Purple Marble Vinyl, standard black vinyl, and CD.
The Prince Celebration kicked off yesterday (June 3) across Paisley Park and downtown Minneapolis, and it goes through Sunday (June 7), the late icon's birthday. It features exclusive listening sessions, archival presentations, and conversations with Prince collaborators.
