Last night, Phoebe Bridgers played Madison Square Garden. For the past month, Bridgers has been playing last-minute pop-up shows and performing new songs all over the US. Those gigs have mostly been in smaller cities and smaller venues. Fans have had to line up to buy physical tickets, with only one per person, and recording devices have been banned from the venue. It's one thing to keep recordings off the internet when you're only dealing with a few hundred people in a room in Toledo. It's another when you're playing the same room that's about to host game three of the NBA Finals, but that's what Phoebe Bridgers did. And when she was onstage at the Garden, she told the crowd that she's about to play a bunch of other arenas.
Now, that tour has been officially announced. "The Lost Tour" will take Bridgers through arenas across North America this September and October with support from Alex G. She'll then play Europe in November and December with Isaac Wood — presumably the same Isaac Wood who used to front Black Country, New Road before leaving due to mental health struggles in 2022. As with all of Bridgers' shows this year, these will be phone-free, with everyone's devices stashed in Yondr pouches until the show's conclusion to prevent recording and encourage undivided attention. $1 from each ticket will be donated to RAINN.
Presale registration is open at Bridgers' website from now through June 7 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Registered fans will be notified by June 8, 2026 at 10 a.m. CT. Official artist presales on June 9 and 10 will run from 10 a.m. local time through Thursday, June 11 at 10 p.m. local time. General onsale begins June 12 at 10 a.m. local time.
Tickets for last night's MSG show cost just one dollar. Fans had to enter a lottery to win the opportunity to buy a ticket, and then they had to donate at least a dollar to the Immigration Bond Freedom Fund, which helps out the people who have been kidnapped and locked up in Trump's ICE roundups. Fans had to lock phones in pouches, and they weren't even allowed to bring pens or pencils into the building. According to Billboard, a few journalists were allowed into the show, though they had to agree not to reveal any of Bridgers' song titles or lyrics.
Billboard reports that Bridgers played eight of the songs, including one that she performed for the first time. Those tracks will presumably appear on her next solo album, the long-awaited follow-up to 2020's Punisher. She only had two musicians in her backing band, guitarist Christian Lee Hutson and keyboardist Nick White. Here's how Billboard's Hannah Dailey describes the new tracks:
The songs touched on the deterioration of love and how love changes shape, on going into hiding but wanting now to re-emerge, and on the desire to improve as a person, even if she might not know how just yet. The idea of death has always been laced into Bridgers’ music in a conceptual way, but now, she seems more interested in examining her own mortality, whether its the relationships and patterns that test it or the uncertainty of how her limited time left will be spent. Her parents make cameos throughout the music, with one particularly painful song addressed directly to her late father, elaborating on the complications of her relationship with him that she’s previously only ever hinted at in her music.
From the stage, Bridgers thanked the audience for donating to the Immigration Bond Freedom Fund, saying, "I hate those ICE idiots." She also said, "We’re going on tour... We’re telling everyone else tomorrow, but we’re telling you guys tonight." And now we're telling all of you. Check out Bridgers' dates below.
