nate sib Announces Debut Album reborn: Hear “Face Card”

The 21-year-old LA singer nate sib is part of the 2hollis extended universe, and he's currently opening up Joji's arena tour. At least one observer has described sib as "hyperpop Justin Bieber." Sure enough, he sings sweetly about world-altering crushes over jittery, disorienting beats. Could that work? Could "hyperpop Justin Bieber" become an actual thing? We'll find out soon enough, since nate sib's debut album reborn is on the way.

After releasing his for us EP last year, nate sib has just announced plans for reborn, his first-ever full-length. It doesn't have a release date, a tracklist, or really any other details yet. But it's coming out on Republic, so it'll probably get a serious push. Today, sib shared the LP's cover art and the Morgan Maher-directed video for the absolutely shameless new single "Face Card," which is all pickup lines and off-kilter house thumps. A month ago, he also shared "Let You Go," an equally shameless track that lasts for less than two minutes.

This guy is really trying the pop-star thing, and he's got the bone structure for it, but it's hard to picture radio locking in with production that's this chaotic. There are some intriguing juxtapositions at work here, and I'm curious to see where it goes. Check out the "Face Card" and "Let You Go" videos below.
