Lorde Speaks Out Against “Fucked Up” AI Glasses

Last month, Kylie Jenner was the face of the new Meta AI Glasses campaign, and Ninajirachi was disappointingly the soundtrack. On Thursday (July 9), Lorde performed at the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid and spoke up against smart glasses.

"Increasingly in our world it gets harder and harder to know what is real," the pop star said onstage. "You don't know if someone is wearing sunglasses or if they're wearing those fucked up fucking... Can I just say, for the record, 'Fuck the Glasses.' Don't get the glasses. Not sexy."

While Lorde could've been talking about the Meta AI Glasses, it's likelier that she was calling out Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses, as Ray-Ban is a sponsor of the festival. Blackpink's Jennie, one of the headliners, is the face of that campaign.
