Lido Pimienta releases her new album Caribenya this Friday. So far the Colombian Canadian musician has shared the singles "Tóxica" and "Talento," and today she's back with "Marea."
On Instagram, Pimienta says "Marea" is a "song about Caribbean youth existing and intentionally claiming their space and their right to joy in spite of the parasite demons called gentrification, settler colonialism, displacement, land theft and sexual exploitation. A cynical love song for the end of times. In dance and sublime Caribbean beauty we resist."
