I don't know what it is with Noah Kahan, but something about his music and live performances has fans releasing things that are not meant to be released in public. For the past month, concertgoers, on separate occasions, have been shitting and peeing themselves at his shows. Despite this embarrassing, confounding, and selfish degradation that fans are subjecting themselves to, Kahan is handling the situation pretty well... or at least with consistent humor.
First, he asked nicely. Then he had audiences take a pledge. Now he's gone straight to the government, though that's unlikely to be any more effective.
During his show at Washington DC's Nationals Park on Wednesday night, Kahan addressed the pissy situation while doing his fake phone booth call segment. "Helloooo Congress… oh, people have been pissing all over the floor at my shows as well?" he said. "You guys are ordering by act of Congress that everyone has to wear diapers before they get in, is that what we've come to? Alright, you heard Congress: Fuckin' put some diapers on next time."
This is the second piece of legislation that Kahan has collaborated with congress on. Back in 2022 he announced/tweeted that "You legally have to wear flannel at my shows as per new legislation brought to congress."
