Water Damage Announce New Album Repair Feat. Wendy Eisenberg & Ricardo Dias Gomes: Hear “Reel 45”

9:42 AM EDT on August 7, 2026

Today, on my birthday, God and 12XU have smiled upon me by granting me news of a new Water Damage album. The large Austin band, masters of rhythm, drone, and repetition, are constantly kicking out fresh live recordings, and they seem to drop a studio album each year. But their prolific status doesn't make the prospect of a new LP any less exciting.

In October, Water Damage will release Repair, another collection of four side-length "reels." The lineup: Mari Maurice (aka More Eaze), Thor Harris, Jonathan Horne, Nate Cross, Danielle Hills, George Dishner, Travis Austin, Mike Kanin, Greg Piwonka, and Jeff Piwonka. But also! Special guests Wendy Eisenberg and Ricardo Dias Gomes play on all four tracks too. Eisenberg plays electric guitar on all four songs, while Dias Gomes contributes electronics to three of them and plays bass on another.

Along with news of the album, they've shared "Reel 45," the album's blistering opener. It's among the fastest, noisiest Water Damage tracks to date. I don't know how anyone could keep that intensely physical drumbeat going for almost 20 minutes, but I love the sound of them going full Boredoms here. Listen below.

TRACKLIST:
01 "Reel 45" (Side A)
02 "Reel 38" (Side B)
03 "Reel 43 : Down On The Street" (Side C)
04 "Reel 41" (Side D)

Repair is out 10/23 on 12XU. Pre-order it here.
