Creativity is infinite. Music is infinite. Hardcore is infinite. Turnstile is infinite. The ground-breaking, expansive Baltimore band announced an all-star take on their 2025 Grammy Award-winning album NEVER ENOUGH. It's not a remix album. It's not a cover album. Maybe it's a testament to creativity's limitlessness. Either way, you will never be able to guess who is on it. It's the most Turnstile thing ever — an expected unexpected.
NEVER ENOUGH: VERSIONS, which the band is calling a "reimagined album," includes contributions from a truly head-spinning list of artists. The biggest, most surprising name is notable Turnstile fan Elton John. The list also includes Slayyyter, Blood Orange, Four Tet, Hayley Williams, Faye Webster, A. G. Cook, Julien Baker, Alex G, Oklou, Porches, Floating Points, Chanel Beads, Shabaka, Kettama, and Mustafa. Some of those artists contributed to the original NEVER ENOUGH, and some are openers on Turnstile's insane upcoming fall tour. Still: Whoa.
One notable thing about the list of contributors to NEVER ENOUGH: VERSIONS is that it includes a ton of artists with roots in Baltimore, Turnstile's hometown, and its surrounding area. Baltimore heads on NEVER ENOUGH: VERSIONS include Panda Bear, Angel Du$t, Nourished By Time, Dan Deacon, jazz bandleader Brandon Woody, and Baltimore club legend Rod Lee, as well as Dying Fetus, death metal legends from Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This may be the first and last time we get to hear Elton John and Dying Fetus on the same album.
As for that continued NEVER ENOUGH tour, it kicks off next month, with 16 dates and a variety of curated lineups, including Clipse, Ceremony, Thundercat, Slayyyter, Hatebreed, Vince Staples, Die Spitz, Pennywise, Cold World, Texas Is The Reason, Yves Tumor and more.
