Knapsack were '90s emo pioneers who reunited last year. This post is not about them. It's about Napsack, the countrified indie rockers from Cleveland.
In October, Napsack will release their new album More Mountains. They haven't shared much info about the new LP yet, but they do have a new song for us today, which gets a coveted quadruple-F rating from me: For Fans Of Florry. There's a similar volatility in Sarah Cuturic's warble and the way this music rumbles along. It's sweet but shaggy in a way that also reminds me of Wilco, the godfathers of this alt-twang phenomenon. Makes sense given that Cuturic and drummer Will Cuneo originally formed the band in Chicago.
Hear "If I Could Write" below and keep your ear to the ground for more Napseck songs coming soon.
More Mountains will be out this year on Just Because.
