Last month, Elephant 6 greats the Olivia Tremor Control announced their first new album in 27 years, The Same Place. The idiosyncratic psych-pop outfit shared "The Same Place" and "Garden Of Light" as the first previews, and now they're back with "Advice From The Oceans," a jaunty ode to the sea.
"Advice From The Oceans" was, as per Elephant 6's Facebook post, one of the first songs to emerge from the band's first sessions in 2010 after their long hiatus. It's a quick, hallucinatory travel song laced with violin, clarinet, and more instruments that blend into a surreal wave of sound. Listen below.
