Cash Cobain – “Betcha Can’t” (Feat. BabyChiefDoIt)

4:45 PM EDT on September 9, 2026

D4L's 2005 single "Betcha Can't Do It Like Me" didn't become a huge crossover hit like their other song "Laffy Taffy" did. But it's still a prime example of the peak ringtone-rap era, and it still randomly gets stuck in my head way more often than it should. New York rapper/producer Cash Cobain made his name by building strange, horny new shapes out of ultra-familiar samples, and his new single "Betcha Can't" gives D4L the sample-drill treatment.

Cash Cobain just showed up on the 2 Chainz/Young Nudy track "Reign" a few days ago, and now he has reimagined "Betcha Can't Do It Like Me" as weird, horny, quietly sad party music. He gets some assistance from another young rapper/producer, Chicago's BabyChiefDoIt, and I like the way their extremely different styles bounce off of each other. The MOSHPXT-directed video is heavy on butts and snap music nostalgia, and it's below.
