Charli XCX Kicks Off Music, Fashion, Film Tour With Underscores

It's Music, Fashion, Film Fall. Charli XCX kicked off her tour for the phenomenal album in Philly last night, and the show had a live debut, an oldie, and an Underscores collab.

Charli previously gave live debuts to Music, Fashion, Film tracks at her surprise Brooklyn show in July and at her Nashville Spotify gig later that month. At Philly's Xfinity Mobile Arena she performed "Persona" live for the first time and sang True Romance single “Stay Away” for the first time in four years. During the set, she also brought out opener Underscores to do the electronic artist's U cut "Do It." (Underscores had to cancel her own planned shows to join this tour.) Charli recently tweeted that the vibe for this tour is “50% party, 50% existential crisis.”

On Thursday Charli announced 2027 UK/Europe shows with Audrey Hobert. There won’t be many, and she hopped in her Instagram comments to address disappointed fans:

hi everyone. i know there’s a lot of frustration in the comments about the fact that i am not doing lots of dates. i am really sorry if you feel disappointed but i have to honor my truth as an artist: touring is really emotionally and physically hard for me. i am not looking for sympathy and i have a huge amount of respect for artists who can handle it at an intense, lengthy and high octane level, but i am just not one of those human beings and i never have been. this was also part of my reasoning behind doing a shorter north american run too. i’m sorry if you feel i am letting you down, i really am. perhaps one day i will be built for the kind of touring you expect from me but right now i am not. if you’re coming to a show i hope you have fun and enjoy it, and i will try my best to stay in a healthy and positive mindset and enjoy it too xx lots of love, charli
