Wednesday Announce Deluxe Bleeds With Demos, Remixes, & Covers

10:14 AM EDT on September 15, 2026

Emilio Herce

A year ago this week, Wednesday released Bleeds, an incendiary album that continued their yearslong hot streak and ranks among 2025's masterpieces. To mark the one-year anniversary, the trendsetting North Carolina rockers are releasing a deluxe edition of the album this Friday padded out with demos, remixes, and covers.

The deluxe version of Bleeds features what we're told is a fresh batch of demos, including "June 2 (Early Version)," produced by Kenneth Blume, who also helmed the new Weezer album featuring Wednesday's Karly Hartzman. There are also remixes by Avey Tare, DJ Sabrina The Teenage DJ, Fire-Toolz, and Andy Loebs plus covers of Wednesday songs by Gouge Away and Joe Harvey-Whyte. Enticing!

Today we get to hear "June 2 (Early Version)." It starts on the prettier, lower-key side of Wednesday's sound but eases its way toward distorted catharsis in a way that reminds me of Smashing Pumpkins. It ends with some classic Hartzman narration that might leave you feeling hollow and tingling all at once: "You killed yourself alone/ In a storage unit/ You’d seen enough/ You knew you had to do it."

Listen below.
