Last year, multi-city punk-rock festival series Punk In The Park caught heat after it was discovered that Cameron Collins, the owner of Brew Ha Ha Productions, had donated to Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. The Dropkick Murphys said they wouldn't play the festival again, and Collins made a statement clarifying his political stance. Earlier this year, the Dead Kennedys were scheduled to perform at a Punk In The Park event, and Jello Biafra defended the choice. But Collins ended up canceling everything he'd had planned because of the persistent backlash. Now, Brew Ha Ha is announcing a new punk festival.
A Punk In The Park return was teased last month, but the new announcement is not Punk In The Park. It's the Silverado Music & Tattoo Festival, slated for Nov. 28 at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, California. The lineup has Face To Face, Dave Alvin And The Guilty Ones, Screeching Weasel, Fear, the Exploited, Leftover Crack, the John Doe Folk Trio, LA's Wasted Youth, Dwarves, Rick Shaw Billie's Burger Patrol, the Meteors, the Queers, Scott H. Biram, and more.
Brew Ha Ha hosted and announced some non-punk events earlier this year. The Sublime Fest took place in three cities in the spring and summer, and Dial Up Festival is slated for November.
