In 2024, Megan Thee Stallion released her third studio album Megan, followed by Megan: Act II shortly after. The rapper has been teasing Act III, and now she's offering a taste with "Tina Tuesday Freestyle."
The release coincides with a new profile by Marie Claire, in which she talks about the LP. "I was very sad because I came to the realization that I was not gonna drop a summer album," she said. "I wanted to take my time and record and really write and figure it out."
"I do make music that reflects the way I feel," she continued. "But I could be having a terrible, terrible, terrible day, and then I would go write something like 'Freak Nasty' just because I feel inspired to go write something hard. So in my new album, I feel like I went through all the feelings."
She also discussed the health issues that plagued her during her time performing in the Broadway production Moulin Rouge!, which led to her being hospitalized mid-show and eventually exiting the cast. "I thought I was having a stroke," she said. "I wasn't getting any oxygen to my brain, so my hands had froze. My face had froze. I was trying to tell everybody that I don't think I'm okay. They only thought I was dehydrated."
But Megan sounds better than ever on "Tina Tuesday Freestyle," which revives her Tina Snow character from her 2018 EP. A particularly noteworthy bar: "Look too good, AI couldn't generate it, huh/ Why is it that every bitch hate me got a little look to 'em?" Listen below.
