Seattle indie rockers Chastity Belt have been making fuzzy, beatific music for 15 years now, and we gave Album Of The Week honors to their last LP, 2024's Live Laugh Love. A couple of weeks ago, Chastity Belt released two tracks, "I Could Say Less" and "Pavement." As it turns out, both of those songs will appear on Chastity Belt's next album, the just-announced All My Friends. So will the band's two brand-new songs.
A word of advice: Don't go into All My Friends expecting it to sound anything like LCD Soundsystem. That's not going to happen. These days, the members of Chastity Belt are spread across three cities, and maybe that's why the camaraderie of their music feels even sharper than ever. The new LP has some brand new songs and some that Chastity Belt wrote as far back as 2018. They recorded the tracks in multiple sessions at studios in multiple cities, and some of it comes from a band trip to the Greek island of Hydra.
Today, Chastity Belt share two hazy, bittersweet songs, "To Decide" and "Designs." There's a deep, melancholy sweetness to both tracks. Below, you'll find both songs and the All My Friends tracklist.
