Last year, Stereogum faves Grumpy released their Piebald EP, and this very website presented the record release show at the Queens venue TV Eye. Since then, Grumpy have gone from being Heaven Schmitt's solo project to full-band status, and they'll release their much-anticipated new album Unfindable Ring later this month. We've posted the early singles "Twenty Five," "OBL," and the D.A. Crimson collab "The Whale." Now, Stereogum is once again presenting Grumpy's record release show.
Grumpy's Unfindable Ring release show goes down Nov. 14 inside a wrestling wring at 148 Frost Street in Brooklyn. It's presented by Stereogum, Twenty Somethings, and Bayonet Records. Grumpy will obviously headline the gig, and they'll perform alongside New York synth-rockers Public Circuit and Brooklyn-via-Texas singer-songwriter mer marcum.
As it happens, Grumpy just released a video for the soft, intimate Unfindable Ring closing track "Queens" yesterday. Check it out below.
Unfindable Ring is out 10/23 via Bayonet. Get your tickets for the record release show here.
