Thom Yorke's an avowed fan of Natasha's, placing "Horse And I" on his iTunes Playlist with the note "Natsha Khan of Bat For Lashes ain’t scared" at a time when she was still trying to convince people Fur & Gold was more than the art-damaged, new age Kate Bush retread it was pegged. And that led to her opening for the Atoms For Peace side-project called Radiohead. Consider this returning the favour. Bat For Lashes are opening for Coldplay in South America this month and next; this rendition of "All I Need" -- along with takes on the Cure's "Lullabye" and Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill -- comes from Friday night's warm-up show at the De La Warr Pavilion in England’s Bexhill-on-Sea. The progression remains the same, the "Roygbiv" electronic sonics swapped for a string quartet. And as far as vocalists trying to take on Thom, dude already noted all that need be.
